Horror Vacui is the fear of empty spaces in art. It is the filling of the entire surface of a space or an artwork with detail. Back in the Fall of 2012 I created an All Hallow’s Eve drawing on a ceramic platter. It took a great deal of time, because I started drawing small and filled the entire piece. It was a fun, comical drawing that captured the excitement of Halloween when I was a kid. I’ve decided to redraw (and add more detail) in Adobe Illustrator. This will be a big project, so I figure I should start now if I am to have it completed by Fall of 2013. The images I post on my progress are zoomed in at 300 − 400% of the actual size. As I add more to the image, I’ll post wip (work in progress) pics. I appreciate all feedback, too. So don’t be shy!
