The Oddubon series I've been working on for a few years has grown. Well, a little. Ok, not at all, but I have drawn some sketches for the next bird, and isn't having a plan the important thing?
The newest little darling in my bird freak family is the "tusked titmouse" based off of the tufted titmouse... and tusks! In my head I see them clearly perched upon their branches and squawking at one another, maybe one defending it's space with those long bits of ivory. However, actually drawing a bird beak with those upturned mouth-horns are a bit more difficult than I thought it would be. I imagine if they spoke like a parrot, they would have a lateral lisp, too.
